Orianna was a bruxa living in Toussaint around 1275. She was a good and longtime friend of a higher vampire Emiel Regis Rohellec Terzieff-Godefroy.
Toussaint is full of vampires, and Geralt soon learns that this contract he took on might be more dangerous than almost anything he ever did. Blood and Wine offers a lot of content, not just in the main storyline, but also thanks to the side quests and witcher contracts.

The better, and most moral ending in my opinion is to let Dettlaff go and let Syanna die. Yes, Anna Henrietta is heartbroken about her sister's death, and angry at Geralt... But it just feels like the better choice.
But enough to ascertain Dettlaff's innocence? Untrue.

Rush off to the Vegelbud Estate to try and save Miss Patricia Vegelbud! Either use Roach or Fast Travel to get there as quickly as possible. Head up the estate, convincing both the guard and Patricia's daughter to let you see her. When you arrive though, it's too late.
Travel to the Vegelbud Estate, argue your way in past the gate guard, and speak with Ingrid, Priscilla's daughter. She'll eventually lead you to her mother's bedroom, where you almost catch the killer red-handed. Chase off after him, avoiding the estate guards, but alas - they prevent you catching the murderer.
