What decisions do you get in the battle at Kaer Morhen?
You have two key decisions that affect the battle. The first choice is either Vesemir's potions or Eskel's traps. If you choose the potions, you receive Superior Swallow and Thunderbolt. If you select the traps, then exploding traps that only attack enemies will be laid out in Kaer Morhen's yard.
If you choose to repair the wall, there will be one less wave of enemies to face in the battle. If you choose the clear the rubble to the armory, all the witchers will do increased damage, and you'll receive a masterwork silver sword.
Full Crew is an achievement in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and requires one to recruit all available allies to fight against the Wild Hunt at Kaer Morhen.
There are 7 allies that you must recruit for the Full Crew. After doing the main quests in Kaer Morhen (towards the end of the story) you will receive a main mission called "The Isle of Mists" and 4 other "Brothers in Arms" quests.
You can't do this later because it's impossible to save Vesemir at the end of the conflict with Eredin and his troops. It's worth doing, too, as you get a bonus interaction with the experienced Witcher.

Given what we know of Ciri, her hobbies, and her interests, it's pretty much a given that she would personally be far happier as a Witcher than the Empress of Nilfgaard. Personal happiness is important, but it can maybe be set aside when discussing such grandiose topics as being the empress of a major global power.
Ignoring the Emperor is the required choice if you want Ciri to choose to become a Witcher at the conclusion of the game. However, she can still live if you see the Emperor, she just won't choose to follow in Geralt's footsteps. Do not go to the Emperor if you want Ciri to become a Witcher.
