For many fans, Batman: Under The Red Hood is one of the best DC animated films thanks to its awesome quotes from the heroes and villains.

With the massive success of Matt Reeves' The Batman , fans are being prompted to check out other Batman content such as Batman: Under The Red Hood , which is often debated as a contender for the best animated DC film.. Black Mask offers to have the Joker take down the Red Hood, and the Joker is being uncharacteristically quiet.. John DiMaggio's Joker is introduced in Under the Red Hood via a very brutal and cold opening scene in which he beats Jason Todd, aka the second Robin nearly to death.. Ra's had no intentions of turning Jason against Bruce or making him into the dark villain for Gotham that he is now.. Batman is able to let his guilt go but he does remember back to the day when Jason Todd first became Robin.. There is an unfortunate truth to Jason Todd: while Batman definitely tried his hardest to steer him down a better road, Jason was never going to turn out a hero.

Batman: Under The Red Hood, the animated film, is quite different from the comics. With another Batman film coming up, let's look at the key change.

Among those animated films, Batman: Under The Red Hood , based on the comic arc of a similar name by the film's eventual writer Judd Winick, is one of the best Batman films of all time.. The comic arc's title is "Under The Hood" as opposed to the movie that's labeled Batman: Under The Red Hood .. Also, Batman's interactions with Zatanna and Green Arrow showcase his contempt towards them due to their involvement in Identity Crisis, a controversial DC story that won't be getting an animated film anytime soon.. Batman and Red Hood witness Chemo land in Blüdhaven from afar, with Red Hood oddly taking credit for it.. While Joker still has Jason Todd's blood on his hands, he doesn't really show up for long in either version of the story.. Meanwhile, the movie gives The Joker a little more to do by having Black Mask hire him to kill Todd, which is a job that another Batman villain got in the source material.. The comic sees Deathstroke offer Black Mask membership in The Secret Society and they team up to deal with Red Hood.. The film sees the group of villains' roles were taken by The Fearsome Hand of Four, an original villain team created for the movie.. Freeze does not appear at all in the movie .. Instead of being punched back to life, Todd resurrects after Ra's Al Ghul dips him into The Lazarus Pit in a misguided attempt to redeem himself.

Batman: Under the Red Hood is a direct to video animated film based loosely on Batman: Under the Hood. Ra's al Ghul hires the Joker to help him with his latest terrorist scheme, but soon regrets it when the Clown Prince of Crime kidnaps Robin. In a warehouse in Sarajevo, Bosnia, the Joker beats Robin with a crowbar, ultimately leaving him half-dead on the warehouse floor. Robin tries to get out, but the Joker puts a lock on the door. He then sees a bomb ticking in the warehouse. Batman arrives t

Batman chases the Red Hood, who leads him to the Ace Chemical Plant — the site of the first Red Hood's transformation into the Joker.. Batman and Nightwing proceed to Arkham Asylum to interrogate the Joker about the Red Hood.. Batman and Nightwing agree that the Red Hood's skills, methods, and arsenal are comparable to their own, except that the Red Hood is willing to kill to get what he wants.. At one of the Red Hood's protected areas, a shootout by Black Mask's henchmen occurs with an intrigued Red Hood watching from afar.. When one of the four gains the upper hand on the Red Hood, the Red Hood kills him with an electric taser.. On his way back to Gotham, Batman finds that the Joker has abducted all eight of the Red Hood's crime bosses, including Black Mask and his assistant, on the bridge.. The Joker starts to pour gasoline on the hostages in a large truck container, and as he is trying to light it, the Red Hood appears and reveals that the Joker is his real target; all of the attacks he made on Black Mask were to get him desperate enough that he would seek aid from the Joker and arrange his escape from Arkham.. Red Hood tells Batman to come to Crime Alley if he wants the Joker back.. By the time Batman arrives, the Red Hood is finished and waiting for Batman to arrive.. Jason then tosses Batman a second gun and gives him an ultimatum: If Batman does not execute the Joker, Jason will.. In the movie, Jason Todd tries to shoot Batman in the back as he's walking away (presumably to force him to choose), only for Batman to throw a batarang directly into the barrel of Jason's gun, causing it to detonate in his hand.. In addition, Jason Todd in the comic entered shock immediately afterwards, while Jason Todd in the film had enough strength left to set the apartment they were currently in to explode within twenty seconds, resulting in the Joker (who in the comic was the one who originally primed the bombs for detonation) trying to stop Batman from disabling the bomb long enough for Batman to be forced to have to choose between saving Jason or the Joker.. Although Barbara Gordon does not appear in the film, she is indirectly referenced by Jason when he mentions the friend that Joker has crippled as well as Joker's quip about a camera during Batman and Jason Todd's final encounter.. Batman Under the Red Hood - First Look

The storyline that reintroduced Jason Todd back into the Batman canon, Under the Red Hood is a crucial turning point for Bruce in the comics & movie.

The storyline that reintroduced Jason Todd back into the Batman canon, Under the Red Hood is a crucial turning point for Bruce in the comics & movie.. Under the Red Hood ’s original comic storyline was published after Hush and clearly needed to address the fact that Jason Todd– whose revival was teased and slapped down– was now actually alive.. Jason Todd’s resurrection in Under the Hood is more than anything commentary on the nature of comic book characters coming back to life.. The film chooses to end on a somber note, taking an earlier Robin flashback from the comics and making it Under the Red Hood ’s ending.. It’s a sad scene that highlights the genuine love Bruce held for Jason, but the ending hits hardest as Jason states that this is the “best day of his life.”

Some of DC's animated films deserve major props. Three include The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1 and Part 2, and Under the Red Hood.

In part propelled by the live-action Nolan The Dark Knight Trilogy films and Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham video games, we've also seen some excellent animated works.. Here are five reasons The Dark Knight Returns, Part 1/2 are the best Batman animated films and five why Under the Red Hood is.. When it comes to Batman comic books , Year One, The Killing Joke, The Long Halloween, A Death in the Family, Knightfall all come to mind as old-school classics that stand the test of time.. This comic arc not only stands the test of time, it's proven to also be perhaps the most influential Batman story next to Year One and The Long Halloween.. Perhaps not one of the most noticed actors in voice work within the Batman world, Jensen Ackles as former Robin, Jason Todd/current Red Hood, was strong throughout.. Just behind Batman, but just ahead of Joker, Jason Todd's/Red Hood's performance was vital since he is the key figure of this movie.. While Conroy could fill in any Batman voice role, Weller deeply embodies the old, tired, more raw Batman and it shows with every line.. This is a Batman movie first and foremost, but this makes the central point of conflict the resurrection of Jason Todd.. Jason's tormented and emotionally wounded that Bruce--his only real father figure--wouldn't cross his line for Joker at least because the madman took Todd away from the also-tormented vigilante.. Among the many things that Bruce Wayne/ Batman is known for in terms of his attributes that make up for him being a super-powerless superhero is his intellect and the detective skills that result from it.. Both parts/films of The Dark Knight Returns give some of the best animated, exhilarating action scenes in animated Batman movies.. In addition to delivering a powerful arc to make Jason, his pains, and motivations drive home the emotional impact, Batman himself also gets at least just as good of treatment in this respect.. In the end, it's as if Batman feels he's failed Jason twice, and as of the end of the film, he's left knowing he might still be out there suffering; an even-more constant reminder of a loved one lost, this time (in Bruce's mind) by his hand.. We clearly see in Part 1 that Gordon has long-since known Bruce's identity as Batman since the latter initially retired.. The character has killed before in different adaptations, but Under the Red Hood does well in illustrating why a lot of the best adaptations of Batman don't/shouldn't kill.

Batman: Under The Red Hood (2019) is an 2019 Live-action adventure, drama, comedic and suspenseful comic book film and is the long awaited solo Batman film to be included in the DC Extended Universe as well as the live-action counterpart to the animated movie of the same name and one of the two sequels to Justice League: Part II. Multiple rumors had tried to pinpoint when and even if this film would be out, from the direction it would go towards with Ben Affleck stepping down from the directors

Jason: He wouldn't do that!. Batman: What about Joker?. Batman: What'd you want with Joker?. Jason didn't.. Still Batman couldn't believe what he saw. Bruce: Jason IS the Red Hood.. Batman: Where's Joker?. Bruce I don't know.

Red Hood has been a staple of Batman comics, and Batman lore for a great number of years.. Red Hood comic books will help fans of Gotham Knights, and Batman to truly understand what makes this great character tick.. Red Hood comics are a blast and usually delve into the fractured psyche of Jason Todd, and his torn relationship with Batman and the other former Robins and Batgirls.. The comic is a Batman story, but both Batman and the characters of the Bat-Family, feel the repercussions of Jason Todd’s death, as well as the mystery surrounding the strange bandaged man only known as Hush.. Back at the Headquarters of Black Mask, Mask is given news that his shipment has once again been taken away by Hood and gets into a rage when a small red dot his seen on his neck and then to his forehead, form afar a Red Hood waves and shoots a rocket into Masks room but a reluctant Mask survives and is forced to call... for a helping hand.... Joker is set free by Mask and was given the task of killing The Red Hood.. On his way back to Gotham Batman finds that Joker has abducted all eight of Red Hoods crime bosses including Black Mask and his assistant on the bridge, Joker starts to pour gas on the hostages in a large truck container and as Joker is trying to light the event The Red Hood appears and the two have a conversation in which Joker ends by finally being able to start his lighter and starts to burn the hostages alive... then out of nowhere Batman swoops in and splashes what seems to be foam or something like it to stop the fire and tries to take Joker out with him but a sharp Hood grabs on to Joker and cuts the wire holding Joker and Hood and Joker fall into the river.. By the time Batman arrives Hood is done and waiting for Batman to arrive, When Batman shows up Hood and Batman fight it out and end up on a rooftop of a church and that's where Hood takes off his helmet and shows that in fact, he truly is Jason Todd.. Jason confronts Bruce as to why he never avenged him and tosses Bruce a gun and tells him to either shoot Joker or him(Jason), or else he (Jason) will kill the Joker by blowing "his deranged brains out," in which Bruce refuses and turns his back, tossing the pistol aside.. The bomb goes off and Jason is nowhere to be found, while Joker is found in the rubble laughing, and is returned to Arkham with Black Mask being set free with a million dollar bail and Batman going back out there, but only after telling Alfred that nothing has changed between Jason and him and sets off in his Batmobile .. When you watch Batman:Under The Red Hood you know you'll be hurting from laughter due to the hilarious lines delivered by Joker (voiced by John Di Maggio). The screenplay for the 2010 movie was written by Judd Winick, based on the 1988 Batman Comics storyline "A Death in the Family",where readers voted via a 1-900 number to either save or kill off the second Robin,Jason Todd.Over 10,000 votes were cast and with only a 72 vote majority, the d...
