How does Hannah Mckay get out of jail?
The investigator follows Hannah onto the bus and tries to arrest her, but she gets the better of him by stabbing him with a hypodermic needle filled with a sedative, knocking him out so she and Harrison can escape.

Harrison's arrival threw a huge wrench in Dexter's plans. Harrison explained that Hannah McKay (Yvonne Strahovski), the woman Dexter left him with, died of pancreatic cancer.
Dexter did raise Harrison as a very young child, but he wasn't his son's primary caregiver for most of his life. After Dexter faked his death, Hannah moved with Harrison to Argentina, where they would be safe. Harrison referred to her as his stepmother in Dexter: New Blood.
Dexter and Hannah continued an on-and-off relationship throughout Dexter seasons 7 and 8, at the obvious disapproval of Dexter's sister Deb, who had—against her own morals—asked her brother to kill Hannah. After Dexter eventually placed Hannah in jail, the two briefly broke up, only to get back together in season 8.

One of the most tragic moments in Dexter's original series was Deb's season 8 finale death. She had become brain dead from complications in surgery after being shot by Oliver Saxon, so Dexter mercifully pulled the plug on her life support in the show's final moments.

Just then, Debra finds him and begs him not to kill LaGuerta, who regains consciousness. LaGuerta pleads with Debra to kill Dexter, saying she's a good person who's not like her brother. Thrilled to have someone in his life with whom he can share his Dark Passenger, Dexter ends up revealing part of his true nature to Harrison. Dexter manipulates Harrison with tall tales of vigilante justice, never admitting he enjoys torturing, killing, and dismembering his victims.

In the Dexter: New Blood finale, Dexter is finally arrested by his on-and-off-again girlfriend, Angela Bishop (Julia Jones). Dexter was never arrested before this point. In the series finale, "Sins of the Father", Batista is contacted by Bishop, who suspects Dexter of being the Bay Harbor Butcher, and sends him a picture of her and Morgan together dated a month prior. Batista realizes that Dexter is alive and heads to Iron Lake with LaGuerta's old files on the Butcher case.
Knowing it was the same bracelet that Viktor Baskov had with him before he disappeared, Isaak correctly deduced that Dexter had killed Viktor and dumped him in the ocean. While Isaak was seeking revenge for Viktor's death, Dexter admitted to him that he had killed many times before.

While New Blood confirms that Miami Metro never discovered Dexter was the Bay Harbor Butcher after season 8, two major characters found out about his serial killer identity in season 7: Maria LaGuerta and his sister Debra Morgan.
Talk me through the decision to have Harrison effectively carry out Dexter's wishes — “Let me die so my son can live,” which is something Dexter wrote to Hannah when he left Harrison with her.
Harrison explains that Ethan was planning a school shooting and asked Harrison to do it with him. Harrison tried to get him some help but Ethan stabbed him. Harrison tackled him to get the knife out of his hands and cut his leg, causing Ethan to pass out from loss of blood.
